” Rick Warren, in his “The
Purpose Driven Life”, uses and analogy in which
he states that the most important light in his house
is not that
grand chandelier hanging in his dinning room, but rather
the small night light in the hall way that keeps people
from stumbling in the dark. What an extraordinary example
of the light that we can reflect as Christians. Well,
what can we do as an individuals? We can start by learning
to interact with everyone with compassion and love. Second
we can change from having it my way to having it God’s
way. We can become a WWJD person. This is someone who
ask what would Jesus do?
What can we do
to share God's Love in Littlestown through a shared
vision.

I see a time when we will have
a community center here in
Littlestown,
that
is Christ
centered.
A community center which has
a child care, senior center, and a teen center that
share some common
areas
where they interact together and learn to respect
each other. A center that provides ample opportunities
for
our teens our children and our seniors to express
who they
are and also provide them with wholesome entertainment.
A center with a shared recreation area. A Center
with a shared refreshment area. A center with a physical
work out area. A center with an auditorium for creative
productions and for
the
viewing
of films.
A center that provides
a safe
area for those who have been abused.
A center that
runs a Library that is of the highest quality and
provides information and help in understanding
who we are,
where we have been,
and where we are going.
A Center that is an outlet
for
food, clothing or other supplies for those
who are in need in our community.
A center that provides
direction
and
caring to help those who are down to get
back on their feet. A center about providing help
in
finding
employment
and self reliance.
A community center that
has a network of people who help the elderly
care for
their
property
and transport them to stores, doctors,
pharmacies, etc.
and in turn will be helped by the knowledge
and experience that every senior has to share.
I see
a community
center that maintains and operates a
Stephen’s Ministry
to help those who are hurting.
A community center that
sets Littlestown apart from other communities
and reflects the essences of Christ love for all
to see. I see a
time when the love that is becoming
part of this community will flow from here into other
parts of the world.
I
see a time
when all Christian churches will work
together as a body of Christ. |
